Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1st, 1995 in Berkeley California) is an actor. She is an actress, famous for Choices 2010 (also known as The Heart and Other Small Shapes), Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022), as well as The Heart and Other Small Shapes.
Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film maker who is the daughter of an extended family. She has also pursued film and acting. She made her debut when she was only 9 years young in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she starred as the main character in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. She was later cast as Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was in the film Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she was able to move on from playing very young girls into more mature, complex roles. It was well received in the Cannes International Film Festival. She worked with her father for the very debut time on Trauma which was directed by the acclaimed Italian director of horror, Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favorite actress and she was the anorexic trying to track down the killer of her parents. Asia played a role in Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third movie she made alongside her dad. The other two included Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Her role as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, which focuses on a physically disabled girl, was a difficult and intricate role, which brought it the David di Donatello award for best actor. The film also featured her in a major role on the screen in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again won her the David di Donatello and a Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing in 1994 and released two short films as well as an episode of the film De Generazione. In 1996, she produced an documentary on her father and AbelAsia is a feature film about the legendary director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which won awards by the Rome Film Festival. The year 1999 was the year Asia began her film-directing career in the form of Scarlet Diva where she played the lead actress as well as the writer of the screenplay. In May 2000, the movie was screened across the globe. The film won an award in Brooklyn during the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
